TUNDRA Programme 2024

In November 2024, we proudly launched the first-ever TUNDRA Programme - a pilot initiative designed to support women-led climate tech companies through mentorship, expert sessions, and cross-border collaboration. It marked an important first step in building a strong, connected community of female founders across the Nordics. The project was a collaboration between MiXi Center (Finland), Drift EA (Iceland), and Arctic Pioneers (Norway), and was funded by NIKK (Nordic Information on Gender).

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

  • 5-week pilot (Nov 13 – Dec 18, 2024): Structured to provide focused guidance and learning over five weeks.
  • 5 online sessions: Led by a diverse group of speakers from the Nordics and beyond, covering topics such as self-development, vision & leadership, business strategies & market expansion, and funding for climate tech startups.
  • Mentoring sessions: Each founder was paired with two mentors from different countries and areas of expertise, offering tailored support for both professional and personal growth.
  • Participants: 11 companies and 22 mentors representing 4 Nordic countries.

The programme highlighted the critical need for support initiatives for female founders in climate tech across the Arctic and Nordic regions. Networking, mentorship, and cross-border collaboration proved essential in driving progress and scaling impact. Beyond the pilot, TUNDRA has laid the foundation for a lasting platform to foster innovation, growth, and inclusion for climate tech in the Arctic and beyond.
